Web & Mobile
The founder and CCO of Zimblyeat.com, Mr. Andrine Mendez approached us with just an idea for a virtual kitchen concept that utilized the unused kitchen capacity of restaurants in the UK and Ireland. The business requirement consisted of multiple use cases spread across multiple platforms. The priority for the client was to launch the Minimum Viable Product in less than 3 months. The MVP needed to have a customer side web app for ordering curated menus, a super admin web panel, a kitchen POS mobile application to manage orders and a virtual restaurant dashboard to manage virtual restaurant brands.
As the client’s business model was also evolving on the go based on inputs from the market, going with a waterfall model wasn’t an option. We planned the product development in an agile fashion with weekly sprints and daily stand-up meetings with the client. In under a month the team came up with the basic food delivery system in the web with the super admin, restaurant kitchen dashboards and the customer side e-commerce ordering system. The second month was more focussed on building the POS mobile app for kitchens to fulfil orders. Sunmi V2 Pro, an Android based POS system was used. The third month was focussed on building more features based on market feedback, testing, bug fixes and deployment.
Metric Tree Labs proposed a customized mobile application built using React Native, a versatile and cross-platform development framework. The mobile application was designed to address the specific needs of both customers and the super admin responsible for business management.
